My Zimbio
Top StoriesToday I got the following email from Monavie saying...

Dear Distributor,

Congratulations on being a "1, 2, Free!" Promotion winner!

As a winner of this promotion, at least two of your preferred customers ordered between 100 and 200 PV worth of product between October 1 and October 28. This entitles you to receive credits on your MVPay Hub account for you to spend on your AutoShip or any other product order during the month of November!

Your credits have been deposited into your MVPay Hub account on Thursday, November 3.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication in building your MonaVie business.

Yep, that's right!  Free product!  There are so many things that I love about MonaVie, and this is just icing on the cake.  What's more fun than getting my product for free is helping others do the same.  Times are tough, and I know that even though people love Monavie, and they know what it does for their health, unfortunately, the mortgage has to be paid, and the kids have to be fed.  We always tend to put ourselves on the back burner.  Well, here's a way to put yourself first, without sacrificing our own health and well being.

Oh!!!  Not only is my product free, we also have a new rewards program!  Who doesn't like to save money on  the daily necessities?  Money that you were going to spend anyway!  Now with Monavie's new MV Perks, you can't afford not to be on autoship!  Because everyone on autoship automatically qualifies for this new rewards program!    Huge savings!  Can you tell?  I'm beyond excited!

Blessings to you all!

Summer to Winter?

My Zimbio
Top Stories
What happened to fall?  I think we went from Summer to Winter over night, with the talk of snow this week!  I have to say I got a bit distracted this Summer with the great weather, and being outdoors, and my computer and blogging lost out.  Now that there is more than a chill in the air, it's time to get serious with keeping up with the blog!

The weight loss, even though it's slowed down, is still on track, and I'm knocking on 120 pounds gone...it keeps  fluctuating back and forth, so I'm not making any claims....YET!  I'm really stoked about the RVLution! Starting in January, Monavie will begin this new phase of RVL greatness, and will be giving away $1,000,000 (yes, that's ONE MILLION) in cash and prizes to those who make the commitment, and make a change!  You know me, I'm all in!  Yes, I still have a significant amount of weight to lose, so I'm here to stake my claim :)

We are all working hard to get on that cruise ship in January with the Cruise for Gold Promotion!  We can do it, WHY???  BECAUSE WE CAN!

Also, if you are in the Santa Rosa area, Monavie will be hosting a "I AM Monavie" meeting there on November 9th!  Check out Monavie on the Move for more details!  Wayne and I will be there will bells on, and can't wait to meet you all!  The Northern Nevada Monavie Family "Because I Can" Facebook page is rocking, and be sure to become a member, and keep up to date on all the local Monavie happenings!  Teresa Morros is on fire, and keeps us all on task!  Gotta love it!

Another great Blog is our new MV Achievers at MV Achievers be sure you make it a stop on your daily Monavie journey!

Innocence GONE!

My Zimbio
Top Stories
Today our little town was stripped of it's innocence by an insane gunman walking into the IHOP Restaurant, and opening fire.    This is Wayne's favorite breakfast spot, and he and Adam spend many mornings having father/son time over a short stack.  So I had a moment of panic when I couldn't locate my family this morning, Knowing that it was Wayne's first day of vacation, and it would have been normal for him and Adam to go out before starting the day.  If you would have asked me what their routine would have been this morning, I would have included IHOP.  Thank goodness Wayne was home fighting with the lawn mower.  It still took a while to stop shaking.  Unfortunately, many other families cannot say "thank goodness".  We need to pray for the victims and their families, and tell your family and friends how much you love them.  You never know when something like this will happen.  Even in Carson City Nevada!!

Today is a very sad day!

Blessings to you all!  BTW...I LOVE you all!

I Witnessed Greatness!

My Zimbio
Top Stories
I have to share something that happened after our first meeting last month with Mike McCormick.  I can't believe I forgot to tell you this story!!  Anyway, after the meeting, Mike, Wayne and I, Laura, Karen and Jerry went out for a late bite, so we could go over the days events.  Mind you, we were all branded in Monavie, and deep in conversation.  Then a young man, I'd say maybe 20 years old, and his younger brother approached our table.  This young man proceeded to tell us how much he loves Monavie, and had just moved to the area from Florida.  Then, in what we later all agreed was an extremely bold move (I think brass balls were mentioned), he dropped the bomb!  "Yeah, Monavie is great!" (can you hear what's coming next?), "But I've found something better".  OMG!  OH NO HE DIDN'T!  Did this young man know who was sitting at our table?  Did he know that Mike McCormick is a Monavie Blue Diamond?  Did he know that Mike McCormick is one of the most successful and powerful trail attorneys in the country?  Did he know what he just stepped into?

This young man approached our table, full of adults MORE than twice his age, with the sole purpose of recruiting us into his new business venture (which shall remain nameless), and then it began.  We witnessed the great Mike McCormick in action!  I wish I had a video camera, because that was the greatest teaching moment ever!  Mike schooled this boy, all the while uplifting him, the industry, Monavie, never making him feel foolish or insignificant.  Mike never broke a sweat, and never missed a beat.  It was like watching a top athlete have his greatest game.  He sure gave that young man something to think about, and I'm sure he will reconsider his decision.  I wish I could have taken that boy aside and said..."do you know who that is???   But, it was better to let him be and reflect on the 15 or so minutes Mike engaged him.  Awesome...Genius...Amazing!  I wish you could have all been there!

Anyway, just wanted to share :)

Because He Can Ride! The Amazing Journey!

My Zimbio
Top Stories
Okay, I promised to write everyday, or as close to that as I can, and well...I blew it!  Nuf said on that little detail :)

We just had another amazing meeting with our fearless leader Mike McCormick!  What a night!!  Besides Mike, who is always fabulous, we were blessed to have Teresa Morros and her Son Josh.

Teresa M. Morros
Josh was the youngest professional off-road racer ever, and in August of 2008, he crashed going close to 90 mph in the Nevada desert.  The doctors didn't except him to live, and if he did, he would be paralyzed, and a complete vegetable.   Teresa describes the experience in a way only a mother could, and her story is painful, and amazingly inspirational.  Josh beat the odds, and is better than ever!  This Summer he rode his bike cross country to raise awareness about brain injuries.  Please check out his webpage at http://www.becauseicanride.org/

Josh proves that one young man can make a huge difference!  If you are going to be at the Legacy Event next weekend, you will be able to hear their story first hand.  I feel so Blessed to join forces with Teresa, John and Josh in building our MonaVie businesses, welcoming them to the "A" Team, and setting Northern Nevada on fire!  Anyone who can hear the Morros story, and not drink MonaVie, well...I just don't know what to say!

Since I haven't posted in a while, I want to update you on my RVL progress :)  I'm at 115 pounds down and counting, and feeling better than ever!  Just had an appointment with my doctor yesterday, who was again blown away at her formerly obese, hypertensive patient, who was a borderline diabetic.  Yesterday, my blood pressure was 116/68, and non-fasting blood sugar of 80.  If you don't know, that is awesome!  We are still arguing over my final weight goal, which she thinks is a bit ambitious, but I promised I would take a hard look at her recommendation.  She reminded me it wasn't about a number, but how I felt...now where have I heard that...Rick Zeller...LOL.  Great minds think alike!

Blessings to you all!

First Giant Step For Leah and Wayne!

My Zimbio
Top Stories
Well friends, Wayne and I stepped out of the box.  Yes, I know we've been in Monavie for 3 years now, and it seems like this should be old hat, but we planned, and pulled off, our first hotel meeting!  Now we've done the weekly home tastings, and attended plenty of said meetings, but this was truly an exciting time for us!

Our good friend, mentor, and the one who keeps us warm and cozy (but not too cozy) under his wing, Blue Diamond Executive Mike McCormick joined us, and shared his extreme knowledge, and went over and beyond!  He rocked the room for sure!  Diamond Exec Vincent St Louis also drove all the way from Sacramento, and brought his great wisdom and many of the awesome Team 212!  We were truly Blessed to meet these fine folks!  It was exciting to meet those who I've been friends with on Facebook for years, finally face to face!  Rick Zeller who is just shy of a 100 pounds loss, was my inspiration from the early days of the friends and family RVL kick off! So to have him join us, and share with the group was an honor!  We learned lots, and created new friendships for a lifetime!

Now, there one one young lady there by the name of Kirstin.  Kirstin is a 21 year old that is about to change her life for ever!  Kirstin has a goal to lose 190 pounds, and reclaim her life!  She told me that I was an inspiration, but I've got news for her, it's people like Kirstin that keep me motivated and inspired!  I was so touched and honored to meet her, and to share her dreams and goals!  You are a Blessing to me Kirstin, and we now have a unbreakable bond!  You and I are going to take the world by storm!  Watch out Monavie!!!  Kirstin, I will be there with you when you skydive, and I will be there to watch Monavie celebrate you on the stage in St Louis!!!

I don't want you to think we pulled this off by ourselves, oh no!  We had so much help from everyone!  My wonderful, and precious Sister Laura, Bill and Donna, Judy and Dan, Karen and Jerry, and of course Mike McCormick!  We are gonna put Northern Nevada/California on the map!

Blessings to you all!

A Great Summer Weekend!

My Zimbio
Top Stories

What a wonderful weekend!  On Saturday, Adam and I packed it up and went to South Lake Tahoe for a bike ride!  We rode from the Keys to Baldwin Beach, stopped for lunch at Camp Richardson, and even saw a bear!  What was that bear thinking hanging out on the bike path in the middle of the day??  Yogi was looking for a picnic basket I guess!

Yesterday our entire Challenge team (all four of us, plus Alex) went for a hike down the waterfall at Silver Lake!  Just a beautiful day!  A brief rattle snake scare, but other than that, it was a gorgeous day!  I love getting out and sharing the day with nature, and family!  God is good!  Was gonna add some video, but we are experiencing technical difficulties!
Wayne and Alex at the top of the falls

Adam actually looking like he was enjoying himself...Even though there was a lot of complaining, I think he had a really good time!
A classic Wayne and Leah Shot!

Leah and Laura enjoy a quick boost of energy!  Thanks Monavie!

Next, Mt Tallac!  Might have to wait for the snow to melt off of first!

Blessings,
Leah

Adam's Story

I just realized I've mentioned my son Adam, and I've told you he's on our RVL "Lose For MORE" challenge team, but I haven't told you how he's gotten here.

As a Mother, this is a difficult subject to talk about, let alone admit there is a problem with your child. Well, as I started this journey, I had to take a long hard look at my family, and I realized that I had taken my child down the road to obesity right along with me. No, I'm not blind, but you don't want to admit that it's truly a problem that needs to be addressed. Then when you come to that realization, how do you throw the bus into reverse? How to you talk to your child about a weight issue, and not make them feel self conscious, and develop a poor self esteem? It's a fine line for sure. So, it was time to take off the blinders, and take action.

I think back when he was this cute, almost too skinny kid, and I can put my finger on the moment that the tables turned. We enrolled Adam into some after school classes, and I would pick him up from school, and have to rush him to a class that was about 15 miles away. He was always hungry of course, and we weren't going home for our usual after school (healthier) snack, and so McDonalds became our daily routine. Well, guess what, soon enough, that's all he wanted, and what the heck, it was fast and easy. It's not like it happened over night, but sure enough, the pounds slowly began to creep on. The odd thing is that it's just not weight, I think it's all the hormones in their meat (just my opinion), but he started to grow! Now Wayne and I are tall, but not out of the ordinary, however, now my now 14 year old son is pushing 6 ft tall. Hmmmmmmm.

My first course of action was to lead by example. First to jump on board was Wayne, and that was fantastic, because now we had both parents on a roll. Then my doctor hit me square in the eyes, and when she saw how well I was doing, asked how my son was doing. Well, I was honest and said he was still struggling, and she asked..."who does the shopping? Who goes through the drive thru?" Who likes to deny their children of anything, even the foods they love? But she was right, it was time for some tough love. Well of course, Adam was having no part of it. Even though I changed my shopping habits, and stopped the fast food, he was still over eating. Instead of one turkey sandwich, he was eating two or three, and the entire bag of pretzels. Did he do it in front of me, NO, and being a working mom, it was hard to monitor.

Then MonaVie gave me the enormous gift of making me the May "Lose for MORE" Challenge Winner. Now this peaked Adam's interest. What speaks more to a 14 year old than money. I don't really care at this point what motivates him, as long as we can get a foot in the door. After we returned from Salt Lake City, and the Imagine Convention, I told Adam about a young man I met by the name Petey Dandini. Petey is 16 year old boy who has lost over 100 pounds on RVL, and is just an amazing person. I showed Adam his pictures, and I think he could more than relate. He told me he wanted to try the shakes. Wow, you don't even know what a huge step this is. Then we had our first heart to heart about his condition. It was the first time Adam was honest with me about how he felt about his body, and didn't try to convince me that he didn't care. I said "just think Adam, in less than a year, you could be buff like Petey!" He said, "no, I don't need to be buff, I just need to be normal." It was all I could do not to burst into tears right there in front of him, but I kept it together, and promised him that we would work together to make that happen.

Then Monavie gave us another gift. The "Lose For MORE" Team Challenge. Now not only did Mom have Monavie cash, but he could win some for himself! Talk about motivation!! He even let me take a "before" photo of him (he runs from the camera) to post on his RVL website!  So our team, as you know, consists of our family (including my sister Laura), and we are off and running! You can read my Blog entry about "The Best Bike Ride Ever" I posted a few days ago, to see how Adam is doing with his exercise.

Weigh in yesterday showed Adam at a 7 pound weight loss in two weeks! I wish I could explain the joy on his face when he stood on that scale! Now it's more than just the thought of winning some money, it's actually becoming much more for him. He sees that he can do it, and it's about how he feels about himself. Wow! That's all, just Wow!

If you want to leave encouraging comments for Adam, I know it would mean a lot to him!

Blessings to you all!

No, We Are NOT Just Any Old Juice!

http://monaviemediacenter.com/news/cardio-protective-effects-study

This is amazing! Did you know that inflammation is the leading cause of degenerative disease? We are talking about chronic inflammation, the kind that you don't feel, the kind that effects your major organs and you have no idea it's lurking until it's too late!

The Department of Agriculture does not research just any juice! This is big news folks! Follow the link and take a peek!

The Best Bike Ride EVER!

Okay, so Monavie is now having a "Lose For MORE Team Challenge".  So we've a entered a family team consisting of Wayne, my Son Adam, my Sister Laura, and me of course!  I'm so excited to get Adam on the program!  He is 14, and I've all but killed him with "kindness".  Unfortunately, it was time for a little tough love, as I've dragged him down the same path to obesity as we've all been down.  So, he finally agreed, with some inspiration from Petey Dandini, to get on the RVL program.

Doing the shakes is one thing, trying to get him away from the video games to do a little exercise is quite  another.  It's been a process, but we started slowly by getting him out (kicking and screaming) to ride his bike around the block one time. Then two, then three.  Now I've gotten him to ride to the local elementary school, which is about 1.5 miles away, and coming home is all uphill.  He's done great!

Today, we were having a major thunder storm, and Adam comes to me and says..."MOM!  Aren't we going for a bike ride?"  I said..."Adam, it's raining!"  He's says..."Mom, you are on MY team!"  So off we went, in the rain, on our daily bike ride!  It was the best ride EVER!!!  I can't tell you how proud I am of him! Watching him transform is the best gift a mother could ever ask for!  Then!!! Wayne gets home from work late, he missed our boot camp workout (which I also did in the rain), so he decides to go for a bike ride instead.  Who jumps up and says..."I want to go with you!"??  ADAM!   I'm blown away!

Watch out Monavie, The Carlson's are on a roll!

Blessings to you all,
Leah

Happy Independence Day America!

Wishing all my friends and family a fabulous 4th of July!  I just got off of work, and wanted to take a few moments to pop on and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!  Now the question is, what to do?  Do I stay home and avoid the crowds, or do I go ahead and mix it up :)  Oh, so many choices!  I do however have to be at work bright and early in the morning!  It is however a gorgeous, HOT, day!  So no matter what I decide, it's a win win situation.

I've been getting Adam out for daily bike rides.  When we first started this adventure, he would balk at having to get out on the bike, and now it's...."Mom, are we going for a bike ride today??"  I think he's actually enjoying seeing the light of day!  Anytime I can get him away from the XBox, is a good day in my book!  We started with one lap around the block, then two, then three, and now we are riding to the local elementary school.  He's doing a great job!  Next year, the "Death Ride"!  LOL!!

BTW, I'm at 105 pounds now, and as my friend Tom Anderton says, it's so much easier to tolerate the heat when your 100 pounds lighter!   Each day is new and exciting!  But the heat is an especially big deal!

Go out, and be safe friends!  Enjoy your Independence, and CELEBRATE!

Blessings to you all

Here Comes The Bride!

Well it happened!  Today, I was able to fit into my wedding dress!  I got married 15 1/2 years ago, and if you've read my blog from the start, you'll know I got married shortly after my Liposuction disaster!  So, I had started my weight gain, but hadn't reached my critical proportions at that point.  This has been a milestone I've been waiting to hit  from the start of my journey.  So I may not be at my goal, but at least I'm the woman he married :)  Feels so good!!!

Shall I share my next milestone with you???  Crazy as it seems, I have my Jr High School Graduation dress hanging in my closet (size 12)...That's next!  Why do we keep these things?  I don't know, but now I'm glad I did!  I have the photo from that day as well...as soon as I hit that goal...I'll post a split screen shot!  LOLOLOL  Good times!

Took my son on a bike ride just a bit a go, and you would think I was trying to kill him!  LOLOLOL  Guess what???? He lived!  It's only a 96 degrees or so, and let's just say we don't live in a flat area!  We both rocked it...nuff said!

CML!

It's Gettin' Hot In Here!

Wowzer!  Summer finally hit in a big way!!!  We went from Winter to Summer in 5 seconds flat!  Um...doesn't spring fall in there somewhere?  Seriously, Snow in the upper elevations last week, and this week, almost 100 degrees!  So, looks like we could have some flooding this weekend.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!  The weekend has that Holiday feel already.  Do you notice how it just feels differently?  Even though I'll be working Monday, and have no plans at all for any part of the weekend, it still feels nice :)  So I hope it feels just as nice for all of you, and that you have a wonderful weekend planned!

Just wanted to share this amazing story.  It's about friends in the Reno area that are on an amazing road trip to bring awareness to brain injuries.  Their son Josh, who is a world class dirt bike racer, had a devastating crash, and this is his story :) http://monaviemediacenter.com/news/monavie-distributor-bike-ride-brain-injury-awareness  If you feel lead, please make a donation to this more than worthy cause :)

Wishing you all a fantastic 4th of July weekend!

The New Olive Garden!

Good Morning!  Is everyone getting excited for the 4th of July weekend??  I suppose if I didn't have to work on the 4th, I might  be looking forward to it, but alas, I will be at work bright and early.  That's okay :)  I really have no feeling about it one way or another.  Wayne has to work, and at 14, Adam is getting harder and harder to talk into doing things with Mom.  However, the weather is going to be spectacular, and HOT!  Awesome!

So last night the family went to the Olive Garden for dinner.  We went to support my Sissy (Laura), who just started working there.  She is waitress extraordinaire!  I'm telling you, Olive Garden is big doings in Carson City!  The place was packed!  Adam asked.."What's the big deal?  It's just Olive Garden"!  Well son, in Carson City, we don't have much excitement, so when we get something new, it's major news!  Ah, small town life!  Gotta love it!  You should have been here when In and Out Burger opened!  Anyway, it was a nice night out, and even though we requested Laura's section, and were promised that, we were seated in the lovely Amy's section.  Oh well...gives us an excuse to go back.  I was excited to find that even though it was "Olive Garden", I was able to stay within my calorie count, thus sticking to my RVL plan!  I had the apricot grilled chicken with veggies, and a bowl of Minestrone soup...500 cals!  Okay, I had a bite of a breadstick...let's be generous and say I had 600 cals!  Awesome that they have low fat and gluten free choices!

You know what helps me when going out to dinner?  Most restaurants have websites where they list the nutritional facts.  If you plot it out before you go, and not AssUMe that you will be able to make a choice on the fly, you will do much better!  Some of the items you THINK would be good choices, are actually a big ole bust!  Like a lot of the salads!  Shocking!!  Beware!!!   You think..."oh, I was so good, I had a salad for dinner"...when in fact you would have been better off with the burger!  LOL  Just make good choices, and have fun :)

Because of our culture, we have made food such a social experience.  For me, this is the hardest part of losing weight.  Every occasion, every gathering is built around food!  My Mother's (and Grandmother before her) first question when planning a family gathering is..."what are we going to eat?"  This is such a hard habit to break!  When you finally realize that you can enjoy company/family without it revolving around a meal, life is good!  Or when you realize that you don't have to join in on the food frenzy that is present to enjoy your time with folks.  I think I've finally gotten to the point where I don't feel left out and deprived.

Well, off to get the morning started!  Everyone have a good day!!!

Blessings to you all!

Oh Bother!

Well...wouldn't you know it, I've gotten a bothersome UTI, and it's gone to my kidneys!  YUCK!  I should have know better, but I ignored it too long, and there you have it!  Pay back time!  Not to worry, I've got my meds, and I'm on the mend....just wish it was a bit quicker!  Funny how we wait and wait, and then when we finally decide to seek treatment, we want it to be fixed like....YESTERDAY!

Other than that bit of news, today is fantastic!  I've dropped another pound, and that just makes me smile :)  I take great joy and pride in every ounce, as should you!  As I travel around and meet other RVL'ers, the one thing that saddens me is when I hear someone say..."You've done so great, I've 'ONLY' lost 5 pounds", or 40 pounds, or whatever it may be.  WHAT?  What do you mean you've "ONLY" lost 10 pounds???  That's amazing!!!  We all need to take pride in the accomplishments no matter what!  Every ounce counts!  I've been there, I AM there, and I know how difficult it is to lose each one of those ounces!  Just because I let myself go, and I unfortunately have to lose 150 plus pounds, doesn't make my accomplishments any more significant than yours!  Be proud! Say it loud, shout it from the roof tops!

Next time you see me, I want you to look me square in the eyes, and say..."Guess what?  I've lost  __?__ pounds!"  Let's high 5 and celebrate!  Hearing all of your stories makes me happy!  I love it!!!!

Blessings to you all

Grateful

I've been so Blessed by the friendships I've gained in the past few years.  I truly believe that God puts people into our lives for a reason, and I never take anyone for granted. I look at each relationship as an opportunity :)  To learn, to grow, to teach, or inspire.  Be still, listen, and God will let you in on His plan.

Wayne and I received our "Bronze" pins today, and I have to say thank you to a team that help us get here.  We don't take this journey alone, and we are humbled and thankful to everyone!  We look forward to helping anyone who wants to join us, or even pass us :)  We must remember that we can have everything we want, if we help others get everything they want!  I think this is the part of the business that I love the most!  Seeing others reach for their dreams, and see them light up when they start to believe it can happen!  Realizing that they can make a difference, and how good it feels to pay it forward!  How many people in traditional business really want to see you succeed?  Want you to achieve your goals?  Unfortunately not to many.  It's just not set up that way.  Sad but true.

Don't know what got me off on this tonight, but I'm feeling overwhelming gratitude right now.  Grateful for my family, and their undying support of my journey, and my efforts in building a future through this thing we call Monavie.  Grateful for my friends, old and new and grateful to a God that loves me no matter what.  Is life tough?  YOU BET!  But I nonetheless, I'm grateful for every twist and turn, and every lesson along the way.  God has a plan, and I can't wait to see it play out!

Have a great evening, and Blessings to you all!

Sunday Mornings ROCK!

"Cause I'm easy, I'm easy like Sunday morning..." I love Sundays, it's the one day Wayne and I have off together. The rest of the week, we are passing ships in the night. So, Sundays are the best! This is also our first Sunday home in a couple of weeks so we are off to a lazy start. I'm writing to you, Wayne and Adam are still fast asleep, and the dogs are lying at my feet. CML!!!

I'm still basking in the glow of all my travels. The big trip to Utah, Imagine, and last weekend was our family reunion. I have the most amazing, loving family, and if you want to meet a gaggle of Leah's, that's the place to go! I can go for years and never meet another Leah, but last weekend, there were 4 or 5 of us, I'm not sure, I lost count. We took a drive down to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk as well. Now I'm from L.A. originally, and I know what a lot of people look like, but I've NEVER seen so many people trying to get to that Boardwalk. We were stuck in traffic for well over an hour, and by the time we got to an area we could park, we all voted to just pack it in, and leave (except Adam). My poor son, drive a 14 year old past all those rides, and say, sorry, look but don't touch...ouch!  So Adam, I owe you a trip to the Boardwalk! Although I think Disneyland would have less people!

I've already had my shake this morning, although Sunday morning is usually our "cheat" day. We love having breakfast out on Sundays, especially in the Summer! You can usually find us sitting outside at Mom and Pop's Diner, watching the day go by. I don't think you can really call it "cheating", since we just replace dinner with a shake, but it feels indulgent. However, we've joined the new RVL "Lose For More" Team Challenge, and so I'm cracking the whip! Oh to those who have joined my team, I've tasted success, and I'm a tough task master for sure! LOL!!!! BEWARE! I don't know what the odds are of winning two times in a row, but what the heck, I've still got plenty of weight to lose, and worse case scenario, those lovely kids get sent MORE money! It's a win win deal all the way around!

Well, I think I'll have one more cup of coffee, and get the day started!  Until tomorrow...

Blessings to you all

Leah

Just wanted to share this picture of Wayne and I registering at the convention :)  Notice the line we were in!!! Felt good!!!  Next year we will be there by merit, not just because we were RVL winners :)  Funny story though, we were sworn to secrecy on the RVL win until it was announced on stage, but we were told to register at the Diamond and above line.  Wouldn't you know it, everyone we knew just happened to be there at the same time, and so we were milling around waiting for them to go away before we could register!  Good times!

Okay, I'll "Try"

It's a Saturday morning, and as I sit here, having my usual morning fare (RVL and Coffee) I think about why I've succeeded on this journey, and others have tired and failed.  Maybe not failed, but slowed down or decided for one reason or another that this product wasn't for them.  Whatever the reason, It is still a puzzlement to me.

When you've lost a significant amount of weight, the first thing people ask is...come on, say it with me..."How did you do it?"  I'm always more than excited to share the tools I've used, which most of you  know is Monavie RVL.  A lot of those friends and strangers have wanted to try it for themselves.

As I wrote that last sentence, it hit me like a ton of bricks.  The word TRY.  When I first heard about RVL, there was something inside of me that said..."this is it, I can do this".  I just instinctively knew.  Whether it was just time, or there was something about the RVL, I'm not sure, but I knew this was "it".  The word "try", was never in my vocabulary.  Has it been easy for me?  Well, some days are, and some days aren't.  Just like with anything in life.  But for me, the question is always..."how bad do you want it?"

So now when I hear the word "TRY", I will think, you are already giving yourself wiggle room...room to fail.  Well, I tried, it just wasn't for me".  RVL is the tool, and a fantastic tool!  For me, the key that unlocked my success.  However, the the biggest part of the equation is YOU!  What are YOU willing to do to make a change?  How bad do YOU want it?

If your answer is such that you have determined you are ready to make a change, and you want your life back, then RVL is the perfect tool to help you get there! You have to have the commitment!  If not, the tub will sit on the shelf, and your response will be, "well that didn't work".  There is no magic pill, there never will be, but there are tools that make it "easier".  The truth?  I have hard days.  Is it because I'm hungry, and feel deprived...NO!  Is it because my brain still wants a piece of pizza...YES.  So once in a while, I have a piece of pizza!  Unlike before, I have a piece, not the whole pie.  However, the easy part is that I have a program to jump right back into.  I feel WONDERFUL!  I truly believe it's because I am not depriving my body on any level.  Nutritionally, physically, or emotionally.  RVL provides the full dense nutrition.  My trainer provides me the tools to give my body what it needs physically, and I deal with the emotional stuff.  I really look at why I want that pizza. So all in all, I feel like I have all the bases covered.

I keep referring to this as a journey.  I believe that the greatest joy is in the journey, and once you get to your destination, it's over.  So this is a lifelong journey, one that I will remain on for the rest of my life!

There is some great information on RVL, and all of our Monavie products on my website.  If any of my readers decide that want to make a change, and are ready for the commitment, then I'm ready to help you take the journey :)  I know you can do it!

Blessings to you all...

Zip Lining Celebration!

Last year while attending Monavie's International Convention, our team decided to stay in Park City.  After all, it's incredibly beautiful, only 20 minutes into Salt Lake, and so much to do!  I personally way dying to visit the Olympic Park.  Where else can you watch ski jumpers training in the middle of Summer???  It was awesome!  Well, they also have a zip line that goes from the top of the ski jump, and it's the steepest in the world.  Pretty cool!  Anyway, my entire team decided to zip line.  Well guess what?  I was too heavy, and didn't meet the weight requirement.  So what do you say..."I'm too fat"?  No, you say you are afraid of heights, or what ever excuse you can come up with to sit it out.  I was heart broken.

Well, this year when I returned to Salt Lake City, I took the drive up to Park City, and took a ride on the zip line!  It was thrilling!  I rode to the top, and waited in line...there it was, the scale!!  Yes, they will weigh you if there is any question of your weight!  Well guess what?  The guy didn't even look at me like he wanted to weigh me!    I put this little video together to share that moment :)

Blessings to you all,

Leah

Butt Kicking Boot Camp

So last evening we went to workout, and let me just say, it was 90 degrees!  Why they chose this day to have class at the State Capital Building, OUTSIDE, no air conditioning, no fans, is beyond me!  Let me also say that Wayne and I were the only foolish ones that showed up for this extravaganza!  Okay, my complaining aside, it was totally awesome!  A private session with trainer Colton (who happens to be less than half my age), was killer!  I love those crazy times when I'm the only one who shows up, and I can really take advantage of having a PERSONAL session.

My workouts have become so important to me in this journey.  Having come from a place where I couldn't even imagine doing a push-up, or even getting myself off the ground without a crane is still an amazement.  How fast you can transform your body is a wonderment!  To those who take on this process and say..."and I don't even exercise!"...hmmmm....WHY?  You know, that will work for a while, but truly, this part of the journey is so very important!  Don't deprive yourself of making your body the best it can be!

This has been a crazy week :)  Family Reunion this past weekend, and back to work full time, and I've still managed to lose 3 pounds!  103 pounds GONE FOREVER!  With that said, it's time to have my morning RVL shake, and then off to work!  BTW, I hate Thursday, cause I have to miss my workout!  Funny how you begin to miss it!  In the old days I would have looked forward to the day I could legitimately miss a workout...LOL...those days are gone!

Blessings to you all!

Awesome video :)

Well...MonaVie posted the video from convention, the piece by Jeff Graham, and RVL :)  I have to say, I didn't realize I looked that old (and still that fat...LOL...it's a work in progress)!  If you take the time to watch the video, you will not only see me speaking on the fly, but you will get some great product information!

Also, some great inspiration from some wonderful new friends.  I am so Blessed to have made such amazing friends, and I know that God puts people into our lives for a reason.  I believe that the people that you will see in this video will be a huge part of my life for a long time to come.

Look at what else I got on my perfect weekend!   Monavie rocks!   All the new products and MORE!  I have to say, I lived the Black Diamond lifestyle that weekend, and now that I've had a taste...I WANT MORE!

I know I'm still playing catch up on all of the events of the last few weeks, but I don't want to overwhelm you with stuff, but I want to share at the same time!  So I'll try to drip a few things from time to time.

Have a wonderful day :)

Blessings to you all...

Wow! UPDATE!!!

Okay, I'm making a commitment!  I am officially going to do my very best to Blog everyday!  Things are happening so fast, it's best to keep the blog up to date.

Let's update since my last post :)  I am 100 pounds down!  I am so Blessed by this entire journey, and I have to give a HUGE shout out to MonaVie, who made me the May "Lose for MORE" Challenge winner!!  What does that mean?  Well, they flew Wayne and I to Salt Lake City for the International Convention "Imagine", and treated us like a king and Queen!  They put us in a gorgeous hotel, I was given a shopping spree at Nordstroms with a personal shopper.  Now, I've never been to a Nordstroms, let alone have a personal shopper (who is the lovely Shalyse)!  Talk about a surreal experience!!! Then I had my hair and makeup done for a professional photo/video shoot.  At the Convention, we were treated to lunch with Jeff Graham, and then got to share my heart and RVL journey with over 5000 MonaVie Distributors, where I was presented a giant check for $5,000.  MonaVie then matched that $5,000 to the MORE Project.  If you don't know what the MORE Project is, you need to check it out at  http://www.themoreproject.org/.  It's worth your time!

All I can say is, God is good!  I am so Blessed!

Until tomorrow...

Looking in the Mirror!

For the first time in this journey, I looked in the mirror, and saw a different person!  I know it's me, but wow, who is that woman???  70 pounds (which is a good size child) off my body, and for the first time, I can actually see it!   It's hard to understand how your mind works.  It sure takes a long time for it to catch up with the reflection in the mirror.  I think of how much time I wasted hating what I saw, and just down right ignoring the image that would stare back at me.   Now, I find the corners of my mouth turning upwards as I catch a glimpse.  What an amazing journey!  CML (celebrating my life!)

Just a side note...my Sister asked me the other day..."Where does the weight go?"  I'd never thought about it!  Where does it go?  Poof...gone!  But where????  Something to ponder :)

Weight Loss Update :)

I am so truly Blessed!  I can't believe how God has lined up the stars for my weight loss success.  I guess He figured it was time too!

Starting in January, my employer offered a ridiculously cheap membership to a local gym! Not just any gym, but a boot camp style gym.  So now I have a great program to back up my RVL!  I've been going to Boot Camp 3 to 4 times a week, and Zumba 2 times a week!  My poor body didn't and doesn't know what hit it!

With that written, I am proud to report that I've currently lost 56 pounds!!  Wow!  What's even more exciting is that for the first time in a long time I can shop, and actually buy clothes in a regular, mainstream store!  Oh the little things!  Life is good!

More progress to come!

Blessings,
Leah
